Hill Country Bible Church hosted our Pre-tournament meeting Friday evening and Fajita Warehouse did a great job preparing and serving a wonderful fajita meal for almost 100 fishermen and their families. Joey Wilson and Mike Hastings teamed up and delivered an awesome message of relationships with each other, and more importantly with our creator and our Lord and Savior.  Dawn topped it off with her wonderful voice, and thanks go to them.
Lake Travis’ Tournament Point would be the destination for our third tournament of the year and the race for the Central Texas Points Champions and birth to the no entry fee 2006 National Championship is heating up.
The Texas Outdoor Zone fishing team of Don Gordon of Austin and Jason Patureau of Round Rock, one of only ten teams with five fish limits, grabbed the top spot with 11.61 pounds that included the second place big bass honors at 3.66 pounds. They were focusing on fishing flats with crank baits shallow to about 6 feet. This win would push them to the top of the points standings one point ahead of Don Hisle and Dick Chism.

Defending their reign as Point Champions from last season, Don Hisle of Cedar Park and Dick Chism of Round Rock took second place honors with 10.99 and first place big bass with a 4.15 largemouth.
They fished light tackle finesse baits off bluffs and points sitting in 40 foot of water casting into the bluffs where the bass were chasing shad.

Third place went to the consistent team of Charles Gerhart of Salado and Kevin Pederzani of Round Rock; they had a limit of 8.34 pounds. They are currently sitting in third place in the overall point race.

Taking the rest of the top 7 paying positions were
4th             Jacob and James Meredith with 8.23 pounds
5th             Tom Kelm and Craig Mooney with 8.15 pounds
6th             Scott and Sterling Stagner with 8.10 pounds
7th Earl Clark and Dwayne Kinley with 8.05 pounds

Sportsman’s Warehouse “out of the money” gift cards went to;
8th Adam Clark and Michael Wagner awarded 2 $20 gift cards
9th Randy Roe and Philip Smith awarded 2 $15 gift cards
10th Mike Payne and Kevin Thomas awarded 2 $10 gift cards
